We are currently hiring for the following positions: 

1 Full Time FCN: 40 hours per week

1 Part Time FCN: 20-25 hours per week, including 1-2 Saturdays per month. This part time position has the potential to grow to full time.

Remuneration: $29-$35 per hour, commensurate on experience

Foot Care Nurse — Full-Time

Position Overview

Full-time position (40 hours per week) is primarily facility-based.

Part-time position (20-25 hours per week with 1-2 Saturdays per month, as determined by company need, will involve private in-home visits.

The successful candidate brings strong clinical judgement, outstanding customer service, and a genuine commitment to punctuality and professionalism.

Schedule

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday or Tuesday to Saturday

Primary Setting: Facility-based (long-term care, assisted living, retirement residences)

Saturday Visits (Part-Time Position): Two Saturdays per month as determined by company need

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive foot care assessments and treatments, including nail trimming, callus and corn reduction, and wound care
  • Develop individualized foot care plans for clients with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease, and other complex conditions
  • Provide facility-based care with consistent professionalism and adherence to Elite Foot Care protocols
  • Educate clients, families, and facility staff on foot hygiene, footwear, and preventive care
  • Document all assessments, treatments, and client progress accurately and in a timely manner
  • Identify concerns requiring physician or specialist referral and escalate appropriately
  • Represent Elite Foot Care as a brand ambassador: punctual, polished, and client-focused at all times
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to grow your skills and advance within the company
  • Maintain equipment in accordance with infection control and sterilization standards

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking someone who is ready to commit, to learn, and to grow. The ideal candidate brings:

  • 2–3 years of foot care nursing experience (preferred); the right candidate with strong fundamentals will be considered for training
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered/Licensed Practical Nurse (R/LPN) in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) or CHLA
  • A genuine passion for geriatric and community-based care
  • Punctuality as a non-negotiable 
  • Exceptional customer service skills 
  • Strong clinical judgement and the ability to work independently in a variety of settings
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided for travel)
  • Criminal record and vulnerable sector check
  • Comfort with basic electronic documentation

 

Compensation & Benefits

Wage: $29.00 – $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Vacation: 3 weeks paid vacation per year after 1 year of continuous employment 

Stat Holidays: Paid general holiday pay in accordance with the Alberta Employment Standards Code

Sick Time: 5 days

Professional Licensing: Company-paid professional licence renewal after 1 year of employment

Ongoing Learning: Access to company paid continuing education opportunities and training to support your professional growth
